EAGLE project represented at Erasmus+ Cluster Meeting and Contact-Making Seminar in Dakar

Representatives of the EAGLE project participated in the Erasmus+ Cluster Meeting and Contact-Making Seminar, held in Dakar, Senegal, on 19 and 20 May 2026.

The event, organized by the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) of the European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), brought together higher education stakeholders from Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe under the theme “Developing Skills for the Future”. The meeting aligned with the European Union’s Global Gateway Strategy and the Union of Skills initiative, highlighting the role of education in addressing future societal and labor market challenges.

Representing the EAGLE consortium, Tangaza University, a beneficiary of the project, participated in discussions and networking activities to foster collaboration among Erasmus+ projects and institutions.

Throughout the meeting, participants exchanged experiences and best practices related to skills development, curriculum innovation, and capacity-building initiatives supported by the Erasmus+ programme. Panel discussions and thematic sessions explored how higher education institutions can better prepare learners to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

A key component of the event was the Contact-Making Seminar, which offered participants from Africa and Europe opportunities to establish new partnerships and strengthen existing collaborations. Through facilitated networking activities, attendees explored potential synergies and future cooperation opportunities within the Erasmus+ framework.

The EAGLE project’s participation in this event increased its visibility, strengthened institutional networks, and fostered collaboration with other initiatives working towards the development of resilient, inclusive, and future-oriented higher education systems across Africa and Europe.
