Training 5: ‘Course design and e-learning methodologies’

The training 5 ‘Course design and e-learning methodologies‘ took place at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, from January 19 to 23, 2026. This training activity was carried out within work package 4: ‘4.1 Training in e-learning platform and materials’.

The main objectives of the workshop were to:

        • Strengthen partners’ capacities in course design and structuring, including learning objectives, course outlines and alignment with the Bologna Process and the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).
        • Enhance competencies in digital and online course design, focusing on effective learning environments, use of video in online teaching and collaboration through virtual learning platforms.
        • Promote inclusive teaching practices, addressing the needs of diverse student populations in university classrooms.
        • Provide hands-on experience in the development of e-learning courses, assessment strategies and the use of rubrics in higher education.

The training was organised and hosted by the University of Nicosia and delivered by academic staff from the School of Education and the ePSU, including Kyriakos E. Georgiou, Dr. Agni Stylianou, Dr. Marina Rodosthenous, Dr. Lefki Kourea and Dr. Christos Anagiotos.
