EAGLE partners visit UPV facilities and innovation infrastructures in Valencia

As part of the fourth EAGLE Technical Training held in Valencia, project partners carried out a series of institutional and technical visits to the facilities and infrastructures of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), with the aim of gaining first-hand insight into the university’s academic, technological and innovation ecosystem.

The programme included a guided tour of the UPV campus, during which participants visited key infrastructures such as the university library, IT infrastructures and academic faculties. These visits provided a practical understanding of how UPV integrates digital resources and technological services into teaching, learning and research activities.

In addition, participants visited several strategic units that play a central role in innovation, knowledge transfer and lifelong learning at UPV. These included the Polytechnic City of Innovation (CPI), the StartUPV ecosystem, which supports entrepreneurship and innovation, and the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CFP), dedicated to continuous education and professional training.

Further visits were organised to the Centre for Cooperation to Development (CCD), where participants learned about UPV’s commitment to international cooperation and development projects, and to the UPV Design Factory, a multidisciplinary innovation space that fosters collaboration between students, researchers and external partners through challenge-based learning and co-creation processes.

These visits allowed EAGLE partners to better understand how infrastructure, institutional organisation and educational services are interconnected at UPV, providing valuable inspiration for the development and implementation of training activities within their own institutions.

At the end of the week, participants also had the opportunity to briefly explore the city of Valencia, including its historic centre and emblematic cultural spaces, completing a programme that successfully combined academic exchange, institutional learning and cultural experience.
