Online Technical Training on Digital Readiness Training for Professors and Students in East Africa

The Digital Readiness Training, part of the EAGLE Project, took place online from October 7 to 27, 2025, and was delivered by Meriem Bachtarzi, with support from the IT team at the Universitat Politècnica de València.

The program was divided into three separate courses, each with a different focus and benefited around 200 participants, both professors and students from partner universities in East Africa, with the aim of strengthening digital competencies and promoting effective use of online learning tools.

Participants were introduced to a variety of platforms and applications, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Nearpod, WordPress, and Canvas Instructure, as well as basic HTML and CSS for web creation. The sessions emphasized hands-on practice, interactive activities, and the use of digital tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

The training was successfully completed, with strong engagement and positive feedback from participants.

The course concluded with the delivery of participation certificates and the sharing of recorded sessions and resources through the Media UPV platform, ensuring continued access to the training materials.
