The EAGLE Project successfully held its Kick-off Meeting on May 20–21, 2025, at Tangaza University College (TUC) in Nairobi, Kenya. The event gathered representatives from all partner institutions, officially launching the activities of this project co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program.
The opening session was chaired by Dr. Jonas Yawovi Dzinekou, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology (IST), and Rev. Prof. Patrick Mwania, Vice-Chancellor of TUC, who warmly welcomed all participants. Afterwards, Prof. Luis Ángel Ruiz, coordinator of the project from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), introduced the project’s main objectives, work packages, and expected outcomes, focusing on strengthening virtual teaching and e-learning capacities across universities in Kenia, Sudan and South Sudan.
The meeting addressed key aspects of financial and administrative management, including co-funding principles, supporting documentation for expenses, consortium agreements, and visibility and branding guidelines. Partners also reviewed the initial work packages, completed deliverables, and coordination strategies among institutions.
The event concluded with the identification of priority actions for the coming months, such as preparing equipment lists, organizing upcoming training workshops, and activating the project’s official communication and dissemination channels.
